GHRP-2
Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2
A more refined growth hormone secretagogue than GHRP-6. Provides strong GH release with less appetite stimulation, making it a popular choice for body recomposition.
Also known as: Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2, GHRP2, Pralmorelin
- Status
- GHRP-2 is a research compound and not approved by the FDA for human use.
- Evidence
- Early human data. Only small or early-phase studies in people so far.
- Half-life
- ~15-60 minutes
- How it's taken
- Subcutaneous injection, 2-3x daily
- Mechanism
- Growth-hormone secretagogue
- Pathways
- GH-releasing peptide, GH axis
How GHRP-2 works
Activates the ghrelin receptor to stimulate growth hormone release, but with a slightly different binding profile than GHRP-6. Results in potent GH release with a more moderate appetite effect.
